Remember Gumbuya Park? That amusement park out past Pakenham with the big pheasant out the front? On Monday December 18th, it is back, better than ever and under it’s new name Gumbuya World.

Gerry Ryan and Wal Pisciotta are part of a syndicate that purchased the park. An estimated $50 million has been spent to revitalise the park, which is being considered the “Disneyland of Victoria”.

There are four worlds of adventure at the new Gumbuya World. These are:

Oasis Springs – a water park with thrill rides such as the Taipan and Boomerango as well as the Lazy River.

Oz Adventure – rides such as the Mining Race Coaster and Rush Hour Ride.

Outback Explorer’s – great for the kids with the Outback Pirate Ship and Gerry’s Roadhouse.

Wildlife Trail – get up close with the furry, feathered and fanged animals and pose for a perfect memory.

Your e-ticket includes unlimited all day access to all four worlds, unlike when you had to pay extra for the rides. Ticket prices are:

Adult (16+) – $49

Child (3-15) – $43

Senior (60+) – $43

Tots (under 3) – Free

All tickets must be purchased online at the below website. There are additional costs for up close animal experiences and “Surfs Up” skilled based water activities.

Location: 2705 Princes Highway, Tynong. 75 km from Melbourne.

Open everyday except for Christmas Day 10am – 6pm.
