Glen Waverley woman calls for Monash Council to act on foxes

Foxes are being spotted in increasing numbers across Monash, with homeowners urged to be on alert.

Glen Waverley woman Cherie Stavrou said she feared for the safety of her 12-week-old King Charles Cavalier puppy, Louis, after spotting a fox in her street on January 19.

“It was sitting outside houses along the street and going in and out of the front yards,” she said.

“As soon as I saw the fox, my heart sank and I hoped my puppy was not injured by this fox.”

On a Glen Waverley Facebook noticeboard, people reported seeing the pests on High Street Rd, Viggers Parade and Wilson Rd.

Ms Stavrou called on Monash Council to address the growing problem.
